I don't think they could be simply shootout.
iMod+Vcap+Amp is a complex set up.
Iriver+D10 is also a awkward separately combo.
HIFIMAN is a very good 3 in one conception. But still bulky.
AMP3 is a "all in one" portable gear.
Above players have their's category. Of course AMP3 and HIfiman will be the new trend of the next generation DAP.
if they can shootout, there are two things can be compared；
The total price, definitely AMP3 will be the champion for it's $149 low price, there is no need to compare.
The other item for comparing is the final sound quality. But you don't mentioned the appointed earphone, if with it's stock earphone, AMP3 definitely will be the champion, for AMP3 come with a hi fi freebie earphone.
if you appoint an earphone, the comparing is still not fair, because different player fit different earphone. it is commone sense.
So, My opion is they are not like the IEMs can't be compared directly.
