Damaged iPod LOD

I purchased this LOD from another Head-Fi member and used it for a week with no problems. It measures 5 1/2 inches from end to end.

One day I carefully packaged it in a soft zipper pouch along with the amp and my iPod and brought it over to a friend's place to use. Ever since that day, I'm only getting consistent sound from the left channel, with the following exception: the only way I can get both channels going is to gently wiggle the cable, or position the LOD and rotate the iPod to just the right spot. If I hold it in that awkward position, both channels are fully functional and come through crystal clear, but it's useless for walking around with, since any movement at all throws the left channel out of wack again.

I imagine something may have jarred loose or was bent inside the cable housing that day I took it to my friend's house. However, I don't have any experience soldering, or much knowledge in DIY electronics, so I'm selling it here. I'm sure anyone with some DIY experience could likely easily identify and repair the problem.

Selling the LOD for $12 shipped within the CONUS. Feel free to ask any further questions.

When I purchased it, it worked flawlessly during a week of use. The HF member that I purchased it from was very courteous and communicative with me; I don't feel that he owes me any debt. Had the LOD been damaged as soon as I received it from him, that would be a different story.

I tried contacting the person who originally made the LOD but have received no response.

Buyer decided not to purchase so this is for sale again. I'm afraid I don't know the specifications on the cable...as I said above I tried contacting the person who made it but received no response.

Bump, still up for grabs.

I think its either the jack or the dock problem--soldering not done properly, thats why connection is loose (for the right signal)

Can you check if you are able to open the dock? If so i might be able to help you fix it. PM me
