Is this amp any good? What is it worth?

Hi guys,
I'm not really an audiophile, but I do have the Shure se530s. I've also had the hd650s, but since it needs an amp and I don't have one, I sold them. Anyway, I was at the thrift store on Friday and they had a headroom amp which looked nice, so I bought it because I've read the brand name headroom on these forums. I've tested it and it makes my se530s sound even nicer, but I have a couple questions about it. So I decided to put up a thread here with pictures of the amp and ask my questions. Hopefully someone here is in the know. First of all, what is this amp worth? I looked it up and it seems pretty high end, but I figured you guys would have more details about exactly what it can do. Second, it didn't come with any power source. I tested it with a universal AC adapter I had lying around, but can someone explain what the deal is with the "battery" port. Does this have an internal battery? An external one? Maybe someone has a link explaining how the power system on this thing works when you buy it new. Thank you very much for your time guys!

It seems to be an earlier version of this: HeadRoom Portable Desktop Amp @ HeadRoom

Yea that's what I figured out. I was hoping someone who has experience with this model could tell me more about it.

EDIT: Does anyone have access to the manual for this product? I found the manual for the newest version, and it's very well done, but it doesn't explain the things I want to know about this amp (like the power system).

EDIT 2:
Just from looking around a bit, it seems that I should post this in the headroom forum, so I've posted it there as well.

Why don't you email Headroom re manual and ask if they could supply you with a copy - or maybe they have a PDF of it?

That's a good idea BushGuy. I may do that. I've been poking around a bit more, and I found that this is probably the power supply that it came with HeadRoom Power Supply (110v) @ HeadRoom
I'm still not sure about the battery port though. Right now I'm powering it with one of those cheap universal AC adapters (with many tips, voltage control, and polarity control) which I've plugged into the battery port and set to 4.5 volts, and it seems to work fine. I'm having a hard time finding out any more information though.

HAHA don't tempt me....
I'll just say that it was much cheaper than my age, and I was born in 1989

If anyone gets it for less than $300 I am very envious.

The price you got it as is probably an epic steal

I ended up getting $350 for it (even though I had no power accessories with it) on ebay. Pretty good deal, considering I got it at a thrift shop for $5. :D

SE535s maybe? Hmmm...
