I got mine yesterday. I've been cooking them for 22 hours with LOUD pink noise. After ~50 hours, I start cooking with my Zune library. I really like how they've provided for stress relief on the ear piece, BTW, as compared to the last version.

^ Really Mythless, go for it. The worst thing razzer can say is, "No." I bet he says okay.

Well I thought I give the old thread a bump as I will be receiving the new R04 Pro and R02 Pro II for review, might also receive the upcoming R07 later next month as well.

[EDIT] Review of R02 Pro II and R04 have been posted here: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/r...ii-r04-483757/

About a year ago, I received set of prototype Vsonic iems from iBasso.  These were supposedly a new high-end audiophile IEM that was being considered for production by Vsonic.  Apparently, iBasso and Vsonic manufacturing facilities are located close to each other.  Vsonic asked iBasso to send out some samples to a few reviewers.

These phones are quite unique in that they have adjustable tubes that can swivel to fit nearly any ear canal.  They also have a silver cable, the only manufacturer that I know of who included silver cables with their IEMs.  While  they appear to be similar to the R04, they are covered with black rubber.  Perhaps it is the prototype of the R07.  They were sent to me in a cellophane bag with no information or model number, just the statement from iBasso that these were to be Vsonics top model, if they entered production.  They look exactly like the R07 as shown on the Vsonic website, but lack the printed logo on the back.  Unfortunately, I cannot read Chinese, so I could not gain any further info from the website.

They are a superb sounding set of IEMs, and is the equal of any universal IEM that I have owned.   Isolation is very good, right up there with the best.  They can also be worn cable up or down.  I will try to post some pictures of them at a later time.

Thanks for the info. Ron. R07 is about to go to production from what I heard. I think they also did some final tweak to make it even better.

I wrote a review for R02PROII which I consider a best buy if you can get them for 40 dollar or cheaper. Head-Direct is expensive, they can be bought on Ebay for 25-30 dollar.
