They do sound very good but $100 is crazy...and for 1 GB. There's one for sale here for $40 with lots of extras.

I have a 500 mb from the day that I'm totally in love with. The sq rocks. Most people don't know what it is. I wonder when the battery will give out as I will miss it. Maybe they will reintroduce it as the retro I-pod. You do not need a cable to recharge it. It charges superfast and lasts all day. You can drop it from the roof of your house and does not break. It is simple and light. It can double as a flash drive in 30 seconds. The controls rock. Downside is no song titles no movies.

DON'T ORDER this at the Apple Store, it is an ERROR!! I tried to get one of these (there's also a 512MB/charger bundle listed if you search "Shuffle" on AppleStore), and neither one is for real. Called Apple to confirm and CSR said email went around yesterday that it is an error and needs to be deleted.
