You would need matching amp to drive HD800 (say $1K), while JH13 would sing right out of Pico. And JH13+HF2 is more versatile pair comparing to HD800+HF2 because JH13 is portable, closed, easy-to-drive.

I really like the HD800s, but sold them after getting the JH13s. They're that good. The HF2s would make a great complement, and I enjoy both from my pico amp/dac.

The JH13 sounds like the real deal, but the fact that I wouldn't be able to share what I hear with someone else would be a bummer for me.

While they might be a bit better, enjoy what you have and make sure you get very familiar with them before going to the ultimate or you will not enjoy them quite as much.
