Looks pretty nice to me. And 600 ohms!!!! YAY!!!!

I'm getting very excited. 880 Euros is $1,250 US - expensive, yes, but not out of the question.

How could I have missed this before. This is great!

Bah, the full sized picture won't show for me, but from the looks of the thumbnail they're just building off their current housing design.

I wonder if they'll eventually use this technology to make some portable headphones that sound good yet are very efficient; as far as I'm aware, Beyer aren't particularly popular in the portable area.

Ugh, 880€! What the... Well, hopefully, there will quickly evolve price competition between online-traders (if there will even be online-distribution)
In some way, it seems to me, that there's a way too huge price gap between the usual suspects around 250€ (DT880/HD650/K701) and the "next step" equipment.
I just hope that AKG will come up with an upgrade around 500€ - and online selling.

I always found Beyers technically a bit inferior, but I always liked the Beyer house sound. There are other brands where it's vice versa.

Wouldn't be too bad if they managed not to have their typical slow & fluffy Beeeeeyer bass this time though.

Looks very nice! Unlike certain other new german top guns.

Did anyone else notice the similarities of the new T1 with the HD800? If you read Beyerdynamic's description of it, they claim to have engineered new "ring" magnets and angled drivers. If you look closely, the drivers even look like the HD800 inside the earcup. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it is interesting to note.

I guess HD800's magnet circuit is like this

voice coil is around the ring magnet

and T1's magnet circuit maybe like this

voice coil position in the center of ring magnet

In common , the Second will got more focus magnetic flux than the first

Exactly. The bass in the DT880s is pretty slow though it goes nice and deep. I got the HD600 but I am not convinced yet.

& like the DT48 they hand select/match the transducers for better balance between L/R channels..
They look hot and on the other hand they look rather cheap...dunno.
i'm guessing that the 600 ohms thing will be their downfall, how many people have amps powerful enough for that?
It's says that with the new strong magnet system, T1 is 7dB louder than old 600ohm headphone, even a mp3 player can driver it
