I finally took a couple pics - nothing special, I am not a photographer...

Good pics... but what is this on the left side of the T1 on the table? Glue?
Yeah, glue. Crazy glue, in fact. Ooops. Won't come off no matter what, unless I take the Formica with it

Any transportable amp recommendations for those of us who intend to use these at the office too? Lisa?

Keep you posted...

Triad Audio Products

It's as likely as any portable to be able to deal with a 600 ohm load...but the T1 is not portable amp friendly.

Try some acetone (such as nail polish remover). Just be careful, it can take the finish off your counter top too. Use a little and work the glue off slowly.

I'm not opposed to looking into more of a dedicated desktop amp but even a smaller Woo amp would be a pain to put in my backpack when I wanted to take it home so I am leaning away from tubes although I do prefer the sound.

I like the Lisa best of most sub $1k ss amps I have heard but I want to get something that will have a good synergy with the T1 yet still allow me to bring it home without a fuss.

I love tube amps...that being said, for a 600 ohm headphone, they would really synergize with tube amps (generally) as tube amps can better supply the voltage swings that they need. Solid state tubes generally sound better for lower impedance cans (like the K701/2s) as they can typically supply better current.

I can say that my T1s sound quite a bit better through my Mapletree Ear+HD tube amp than they do through my RSA Hornet M on High Gain.

But as you said, they aren't as portable and that is true...my solution get both .

Woo amp would be too heavy to carry around even they fit in your back pack. I guess Lisa would be the best choice. Or maybe smaller desktop amps like The Raptor? They really small and relatively light weight (but still, carrying them around is not recommended).

We can see the positive and negative going to the driver but there is that 3rd black wire going to a metal piece part of the structure of the driver. Does anybody know what is the purpose and functionality of it? If it gets recabled does it need it to function properly? Where does it goes at the connector side?
i suppose its analogue ground? white and red should be left and right channel respectively.

I don't think it will have a left and right going to the same driver. Red should be the positive and whit the negative for that channel. The black I guess could be physical ground but where does it go at the plug side since there it just have tip, ring and sleeve (left, right and common ground).
