Online Purchased Music

Well, I have not been one to purchase online music, or listen to this artist, so I am unsure which is to blame.

But, This is a purchased online, 320kbps MP3 from Bigpond Music, or Jordin Sparks - Battlefield.

Although I am sure its not necessary here, I explained and pointed out the quality issues in this file.

The images are self explanitory.

Has anyone seen this kind of clipping on a track before?
Its not acceptable by any degree.

Nothing new here... Sadly!

Sadly understood.
I knew they were fighting for loudness, and a lot of music is terribly over-compressed... but I don't get to listen to the radio much, and pop doesn't interest me much, I had no idea they were distorting it as well to the point of unlistenable.

Anyway... I sent the pics to sales and complained that the clipping made the file unsuitable for listening too, and got this reply.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I have checked your account, and unfortunately, I was not able to replicate the problem with the track that you listed. However, I was able to clear the track from your purchase history and the amount was credited back to your account.
At least that part of the purchase was fair.

Hahah I like how they couldn't replicate it more like didn't try.

Anyway, that's a pretty excellent resolution, IMHO. Most would just tell you too bad, go away.
