I voted medium. I have never listened to high volumes because i have open cans and my family wouldn't be too happy hearing music at the other end of the house. I have my CD player unamped playing about 11 o'clock volume through my Grado SR-225 or 10 o'clock on my ATH-AD700.

My choice went to medium, which for my player is something like 15-18. However, I find it hard to keep the volume down with the etys HF5.
They just seem to bloom as soon as the volume on my sony overcomes the 18-19 mark.

At his point though my ears start soaring, especially with trebly material…

I listen usually around 75% volume.

I'm the lowest-volume person I know. On a quiet road or at home in the evenings, I have to dip into the low single-digit range, and sometimes even 1/30 or 1/40 is a bit too loud. On a bad subway train it's no more than 15-18 on a Samsung U5, and when I had an ipod video it hardly ever saw the 50% mark.

Come to think of it, that's probably the source of disparaging opinions between myself and the other earphone fans I've run into.

Average 60% from the Iphone with the Westone 3, the 3s are quite loud.

i'm on low 99% of the time (20% of my player with ES3X/10X3 Unamped, not very loud. Probably around 60db), the only song i listen to on medium is one song which i really enjoy the instruments right in my face =), The ability to hear is a lot more important than listening to music

On my unamped iPod, half-power is more than enough. Sometimes, half of that is perfect.

I listen to low volume 75% of the time. But when I work out, jog, or am totally tired and need to wake up, I listen to medium volume. I use high volume just when testing equipment, or analyzing a cd.

I listen to my Super Fi 5 vi's from an iphone at the lowest settings.

Like usually 1 click of the volume up. Seldom more than 3

So usually less than 25%

I'm not sure how many db this would be, since apparently the SF5's are really easy to drive.

High volume for me. If my brains aren't leaking from my ears, and I can't hear my skull pieces rattling... I'm not a happy boy.

High volume here too.. or at least I think so, isn't it all relative?

I want my face to fall off!

I try my best to keep it at medium, but since I commute with a lot of other people, it gradually goes up to high

i listen to mid volume... to avoid ear damage... mainly for train journeys which takes up like 30 mins one-way... ^^

and low volume when i'm home using my speakers...
