Exactly, but it's still down to the record company to allow them to have that material, and they made the mistake of letting it go and having this whole barrage of people complaining about how bad the CD is. It's nice to see people commenting on it even when they have small computer or laptop speakers; that's how bad it really is.

Thing is I doubt the record company even cares, as the CD will have sold well regardless of all the complaints. That's one of the things actually; I knew full well how compressed the newer Coldplay releases would be considering what I heard on the old ones, yet I still got them because I wanted the music anyway. The only way they might get in gear is if they lose sales because people refuse to buy such compressed music, but as people want to hear it, most of them buy it anyway, not to mention the majority of people don't care anyway. I doubt the loudness war is going away any time soon, unfortunately.
