UE straight cable vs old-school. DIFFERENCE

Thread Starter
well i had been using a UE straight plug cable for awhile, it got caught on something when i got on the bus and sound kept cutting out from one side.

this is with my triple.fi's

i swapped in my old right-angle UE cable and the difference in sound signature was instantly noticeable.

the old cable was much more bassy, highs were a bit more muted.

i feel like i lost some clarity but got some bass. one thing nice is that the snares dont 'poke' my ears as much.

anybody else feel the same way?

The specs on the Triple Fi Pro cable have never changed. Is it possible you had a Super Fi Pro cable?
