I'd also suggest adding some of Miles' live material into the list. There's a certain dynamic that Miles brings to his live performances that sometimes gets lost in the studio. I'd suggest either Highlights from the Plugged Nickel or the Four and More/Funny Valentine set (unless you want to dig and find some of the earlier, good quality European live material w/ Coltrane; the US releases aren't the best sound quality IMO).
