Never noticed any sparks in that thread? No discussion of the JH-13s at all really. Maybe l missed it. l don't own Stax, but go in there occasionally.

Who was getting upset?

rlanger I don't know if those sparks were related to the jh-13 thread from gilency's post I think he was just relating how people have gotten po'ed in both threads.

I haven't seen anyone get po'd in here. Now, the Stax thread is another story.

Ah, that makes sense. Still not sure what was meant by "And the JH13 appreciation thread crowd gets easily really upset too"? What's he referring to there?

if i can summarize correctly: the JH13 plays just fine through a portable source like an ipod 5.5... so no real need to upscale all my gear to enjoy the JH13 in peace.

thanks for taking my ~$1200

lol

Exactly. it was not related to the JH13. Just the temperature goes up in some threads. Nothing bad, at times interesting.

This is a very well behaved thread by and large, with some didactic content.

Thanks, HPA for a great review. This helped me quite a bit with the decision I'm going to make in the near future.

i want to be the permanently member, if each of them can buy with $100, My reason is the cost of each of then no more than $100. Sorry , I am not to offend any body, It just my silly thinking.

HPA: Have you got any lame encoded 320kbps files lying around? I want to know how revealing the files become

Before anyone goes into lossless v lossy, don't. I know.

Playing 's advocate

Thanks a lot for this GREAT review Larry. I think it is your best effort yet both in objective writing style and in its clear structure.
It has been absolutely worth the wait and it will make my decision a lot easier although it will be a few months still before I can go into custom iems.
Thanks again,
Greetings, Anouk,

LOL, I think you dont have much of a clue of what things cost to produce and support. if only things were that cheap to put together.

Thank you Larry for this great review. Your tells me the strength of JH-13 Pro (and ES3X and UE11 Pro). I believe JH-13Pro is good, but in the JH-13 PRO appreciation thread, everyone sounded a little too excited and that makes me want to discount the opinions a little.

Agreed.

Tried selling my body this past weekend...didn't work out well.

Plan B: Collect cans.

Maybe. But let me put it this way. If you offered every JH-13 Pro owner $2500 and said that they could spend it on any full size headphone/amp combo, but they would have to give up their JH-13s, I'm not sure you would have too many takers, if any. You might have to go a bit higher too before you found someone who'd make that deal.

l, for one, wouldn't make that deal. I'm not sure you could say the same for UE-11 and Es3x owners?

So it's no just the incredible sound quality that we are all excited about, it's the value too.
