Van Den Hul Thunderline XLR 1.5M

Since Van Den Hul cables seem to be relatively unknown on Head-fi, I figured I'd write a bit about this one. The Thunderline is not some fancy new-fangled cabled design, but a solid design that has been around since the early 90's. Van Den Hul designs makes their cables from the raw materials (except the XLR plugs, which are Neutrik) -- they aren't, like many companies, assemblers of another company's wire. Their most fancy feature they are known for is the Linear Structured Carbon dielectric around the wires, applied directly and immediately after the silver extrusion coating, which ensures a completely perfect seal, so the cable will not deteriorate during its lifetime, unlike regular copper cables (They also make non-metal carbon cables). As well, the silver coating on the wires is extruded, not electroplated, avoiding harsh treble that silver plated cables have, leaving just clarity and detail.
Anyway, these are not some random cable from a random company, nor your average Belden wire, but a high quality cable made using science. I'd keep the pair, but I have cables coming out my ears at the moment and really need to shed gear, not accumulate it.
