I gave my first post of 9.5 years today and replied to its following quotes.  I think I have dived too deep for too long, but feel surprised that guys here noticed that.  ;-)  It's not bad to be an old guy (registered in 2005) but a freshman (first post in 2014) at the same time.

Thanks for everyone's welcome post.

Arnaud is correct, i would have to redesign the power supply to do this. The voltage is set by short soldered wires on a board inside the power supply. So it can be changed later, but you wouldnt want to do it often.

Hi Justin, well understood.  Can we to do this by ourselves if it is only some soldering works?  I wouldn't change it often, just in case...

If you have some soldering experience then yes. The voltage configuration for the wires is labeled on the circuit board which is mounted to the front panel of the power supply

Luckily the packaging of the BHSEs is very, very easy. the shipping boxes are already taped and stacked

Hello Justin

When I made the final payment, on June 25, I thought the shipping of my BHSE was a matter of days (say, 2 or 3). It seems I was wrong... maybe you should have waited a little bit before sending this final payment request?

Certainly a very useful post there Phil95, hope you feel better now that you got that off your chest !

With my sincere best regards, :-p

having built my own electrostatic amplifiers, I would say that you probably don't want justin to rush the job. if/when something goes wrong it's more often spectacular than not

Everybody has understood that "rushing the job" isn't what Justin does. I just consider that when the final payment request is sent, this means that the goods ordered are ready -or almost ready- for shipping. At least, this is the usual commercial practice.

Don't feel bad, I made my final payment in March!

Hmm, this sounds kinda unprofessional, sorry. I do support the DIY stat community and know some builder personally. But I wonder if this is bankrolling a business that is not cottage DIY anymore? If it is a business it should not be expecting the buyers to provide free credit. The money technically (a deposit) should be in an Escrow, and there should be a fixed (kept to) agreement on the delivery of the order. I love this amp, and have friends who have it, but I see red mist when it comes to money and smoke and mirrors.

It would be more honest to NOT offer a delivery date at all, keep it open. Or at the very least, update all the open orders with monthly ETA's. If that was happening there would not be all this beefing here.

Ok, the rest of you guys can slag me off now, as I know there are lots of BHSE supporters. And I hold my hat to you. But I can't help feeling annoyed for the rest who obviously feel worried/let down/insecure about their hard earned.

Please see my recent posts in this thread for all the updates. The amps are assembled. Testing has been done. Now the amps have to burn-in. But right now it's 7:45AM and i would like to go to bed.
