buy the malvalve headamp three, you will get it immediately,

1. because this is a professional company

2. if they promise something to you--- they stay to the word.

3. you will get a tube amp you could use with Stax and dynamic headphones

same price as BHSE

from one of germans top tube-amp companies.

Ordered back in December, coming on a year for me.

I still am baffled by the people who would order this amp, and come and complain about the time it takes to get delivered.  If they spent ANY time here reading about this amp, they would know that getting a batch of these amps built is way too dependent on suppliers making low volume specialty parts, with enough quality to pass Justin's standards, to be in any way predictable.  I also sure that many of these parts come from outside the USA, further causing delay when they are not correct when received, or substandard.

I am personally glad that Justin took on the large double batch of BHSE orders this go round, as I probably would have missed out on one.  There are companies out there that can have their amp mass produced, and have them in "inventory", waiting for you to order one off the web, and have it show up a few days later.  If you don't have the patience to wait for a hand made, highest quality, rather specialized electrostatic headphone amp, then find something else in "inventory" that matches your needs.

I am doing some of my own DIY projects, as I do like the control of "stuff" thats in the box.  I can sympathize with Justin's creative efforts here, and like most who can order this expensive amp, I have other gear to listen to.  I signed up knowing the wait could stretch out a LOT (after doing the research about this amp). That being said, there is an open shelf awaiting my silver BHSE.

We should be here, speculating about fitting the BHSE into our system, learning from others who own this amp, and cheering Justin on, not whining.

Just my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

Also, Malvalve may be a great amp, but it is lesser known than the amps I was referring to such as the Lightning/A10/Electra/etc that normally take a while after you order.

Nothing wrong with waiting for something. Think the problem can be that the best/only source of information is this website. The best source should be the website that the original order was made on, and the update could be as little as "Current likely delivery date: Oct 2017". Think the iFruit website flags 2-4 weeks and people like B&HPhoto list things as "Expected in stock Feb 2014".

No need to let this deteriorate into a bashing forum.

I also agree with this post. I've had the BHSE for about 20 months, but it took 15 months from ordering to receiving it, and the wait time didn't bother me one bit, if it had I wouldn't have ordered it in the first place, but I'm extremely glad I did. IMO it's an amazing amp in every way and well worth the wait.

Surgery?? Have you decided to take your crime-fighting to the next level?
I hope you have a swift recovery.

Justin had surgery to replace one arm with a cybernetic limb with built in soldering iron and multimeter. That's dedication.

Assembly must be quite difficult with one arm (and hand?). Best of luck and have a quick recovery.

the next task is inspecting the polished front panels when they arrive, and laser engraving them, those things can be done with 1 arm
