Very interesting news, Justin.

Shuguang Treasure EL34 (6CN7) are generally considered better than the Mullard tubes provided with today's BHSEs --they also are more expensive. If your tests show some improvement, will these Shuguang tubes equip the batch #3 and 4 BHSEs, possibly as an option, or is it too late?

Same question for the PSU improvements you are carrying out.

Best regards.

Justin, have you any plans on making a quad of Shuguang Treasure [ 6CN7 ] available from Headamp ?. If so at what cost ?

it would be as an option, at a fair price and with a 1 year warranty from HeadAmp on the tubes

The PSU improvements are part of the batch that is being assembled now

^ I'm curious, how do the Shuguang Treasure's sound in the BHSE ?

How long does a set of tubes last in the BHSE?

if i decide they're worth offering as an option with the BHSE, then i could sell them separately as well

If you do decide to offer this option, Justin, I would definitely take it up on my batch #3 order.  I was about to order some based on the positive feedback on HF.

Really great, Justin! I order the Shuguang tubes right now, provided this option is "far less expensive" than the competitor's (Woo Audio, I suppose) --therefore, far less than $480. Hence another question: what's the option price? $200?

And an extra question: what does the PSU upgrade consist of? I dig technical details. Does it provide a significant SQ improvement?

Please notice that I don't require any delivery date notice!

Many thanks for your work.

Philippe

Justin,

I read the whole "audio-thief bust" article over at InnerFidelity and how you are the reason this guy was finally caught.  Good job sir!!!

IN addition to the Shuguang Treasure 6CN7 (EL34?) debate: has anyone compared these tubes to their Psvane equivalent? Some links (e.g. http://psvanetube.com/wordpress/category/review/6ca7-z-el34/claim Psvanes are far better...

Tank you all for your contributions.

Phil95, hopefully you've already seen the posts on Treasures and Psvanes not that long ago in this thread?

We need to stop using the term 6CN7 in this context. That is a different tube model to the correct one 6CA7.

^ I figure if Justin likes the Shuguang Treasures in the BHSE, then maybe the Psvanes would be worth a shot.

Are the PSU improvements in the new build in components, design, or both?

Do the Treasures perform better with output bias adjustment at the PSU?

Sorry for confusing tube codes. I have a very faint remembrance of Psvane (Pavane?) tube reviews... But I can't remember how they compared to the Shuguang Treasures.
