With someone like that, gush! on the contrary, I am afraid that we are all in for a big fight!

Whether the poor fellow has to give individuals endless personal updates on their orders here or directly by email would make little difference to Justin or the impatient customer. It might however, be considerate to spare those of us looking for fresh content having to grapple with the minutiae of people's orders and attendant impatience.

Justin already seems to be giving regular updates anytime there is any progress worth a mention on the current batch.

Unless folks are willing to set up a separate thread specifically for impatient headamp customers to pepper the company with requests for delivery updates, I suggest this particular thread be reserved for discussion of the product itself.

Is that too much to ask?

Best regards

P.S.: Considering your nickname, I wonder if you're a medical examiner or an ordinary dotor?

Orthopaedic Surgeon. I have non professionally found my hearing limited to 13k. Some tinnitus from years of shooting, woodworking, and my profession ( I specialize in total joint replacement, and regularly use battery and air power tools) have proven to harm hearing. I have used hearing protection shooting for nearly 20 years, and have ear plugs for the noisier surgeries for the last 5 or so.

Of course being 54 has its own implications.

I'm in the BHSE queue because, I downsized my house and my listening room. I got dispensation for upgrading my headphone station, as the 9.5 x 14 room is nowhere near the size room I wanted as we moved out of the child raising facility.

Love my HD800 setup at the office, really excited to give stats a try.

^ 54 and 13k hearing must be nice!   Clever ploy on the dispensation . . . . lol . . .

I saw some forum saying that BHSE sounds better with SR-007 while someone said the gain is too high for SR-007.  Can anyone confirm which is correct?  I only have a pair of SR-009 and waiting for my BHSE.  If it sounds better with SR-007, I will seriously consider to get a SR-007 as yen is dropping.

Not to continue to beat a horse here, but I, among several others who are no longer active on Head-Fi (for one reason or another, or for unknown reasons), who ordered the BHSE when it first premiered in 2008 (or even before), waited approximately 1 year (or more, in the case of 1 Head-Fier that I recall) for our orders to arrive. So for those in the current batch, just know that the Head-Fiers who ordered the very first batch of BHSEs waited a lot longer. And I can say that the BHSE is a product worth waiting for too. Patience is very well-rewarded when it comes to the BHSE.

On another note, I'd recommend that Head-Fiers in the NYC area attend the upcoming NYC-area meet on 4/20, as Justin will be there. I'd guess that he'll probably have either the BHSE or GS-X MK2 there, or maybe even both.

I can confirm that the SR-007 indeed sounds awesome on the BHSE, and the default gain is not too high for it. I personally preferred the SR-007 over the SR-009 on the BHSE. I wrote about it in this thread, where some others shared their experience as well: http://www.head-fi.org/t/635893/mini-review-stax-sr-009

Phil, I am very sorry to you are going deaf. This is a terrible thing for a music lover. Beethoven was only 27 years old when he started going deaf. I hope that you are somewhat older...

Thank you, satorarepotenet!

I just picked Blue for my color with spiked feet! I'm so excited! At this point, I actually expected to have my SR-009's by now, but PriceJapan still hasn't shipped it yet, so I may actually have both the amp and headphones together within a much shorter than expected time frame.

The lead time from Stax has been 4-5 months on the SR-009s

So you are saying I probably will get my BHSE before the SR-009s? devil_face.gif

I have my SR-009 since last April, but it is still in the box right now as I am still waiting for my BHSE......  I haven't even unwrapped the plastic bag,
