I prefer pistachio to chartreuse, myself.

Especially if it's pistachio gelato...

Hello ericohgb

What sort of tool is this? What is it used to? Justin, shall I get one with my BHSE?

Best regards.

Chartreuse is an "aromatic green or yellow liqueur flavored with orange peel and hyssop and peppermint; made at monastery near Grenoble, France" (Sorry if you already knew it)

Some prefer yellow Chartreuse to green...

Please let us know which is best!

It's a trimpot adjustment tool which is used to adjust the trimpots on the PCB.

And here's the link to the video for the adjustment, admire the addition of picture in picture to help understand where to insert the probe, I thought it might help clueless people like myself ;)

Thanks :). Not sure what was going on with the video embedding. Maybe  google doesn't appreciate embedding of videos shared by email link?

Yup, that's the one.  There is also a ceramic version but I don't care for that one.

The bias/balance adjustment video is fine Arnaud, but you don't say a word about what the input jacks should be during the operation: connected to the source, disconnected, or doesn't matter at all? And what about the source selector (RCA 1-2, XLR): should we care about it?

Same question for the volume setting during the adjustment: does it matter?

Best regards.

it most likely will not matter what you do, but the best way would be to put it on XLR input and the volume all the way down.
