I think we all have our preferences with colour, but IMO the BHSE looks amazing in any colour.

presumably these parts can be changed out for other colors for those who want a 'new look' . . . not that anyone here is fickle . . .  lol . . .
 

I've never seen a black BHSE in-person, and come to think of it, I don't recall seeing many pictures---if any---of one either. I've only seen the iconic grey (grey-blue) color at a meet and pictures of silver and blue online. They all look really nice, though all black would probably be my personal choice between the four of those.

At first I was going to go with the new purple color Justin mentioned earlier in this thread, but not being too sure of what sort of purple it would be, and finding brighter purples a little aesthetically tiresome over longer periods of time, I decided on a different route and requested a custom / one-off seafoam green.

It's not so straightforward to change the faceplates, as they have parts attached to the backside. You'd probably have to send it in to be done.

Puce is a fascinating color. There are actually two versions of it, and both are considered puce:

As for seafoam green, there's a wide spectrum ranging from more blue-green to lighter green shares to even grey-greens. One of the more well-known reference points isn't stats, but rather Strats:

They call the color on the right "surf" rather than seafoam, but I think both could be considered seafoam. For my BHSE I'm aiming for something closer to the "surf" example above, but I realize there's going to be variation, so really either is fine by me.

Thank you Golnutz. Did you compare the psvanes to the Shuguang Premiums? Do you think they sound best, or have a better value for money? TheAttorney doesn't like them because of their look, but this is no concern to me.

Sorry Phil, I haven't gotten the Pvanes yet. If I had to pick between the two right now, it would be the Psvanes (nothing wrong with the Shuguang). Just that the Pvanes are reportedly suppose to be somewhat better. I don't mind the looks of the new ones. I think they would look nice with my all black BHSE.

Listening to the Sheepdogs right now with the Shuguang 6CA7 treasures (great tubes). Also, I've seen and read several others using them with the BSHE as well. Absolutely no issues with them. I would like to try the Psvane later on down the road, but I'm not in a rush right now.

That's why I used it.
