Unless you are using etys then to me the alba sounds perfect flat wih no eq.
I only use the superb bass setting for my er4,otherwise it needs no enhancement at all.
Plus at the price the performance is off the chart.

Well the Mrs. finally came back from her trip to Britain, and luckily i reminded her to pick up one of these players for me. Beyerfan is quite right, for 20 quid this thing is a bargain. The sound quality out of this little player is A1. Yes it looks dated, the ui is dated and it hasn't been made by a glamorous brand, but at the end of the day it plays music very well indeed. The bass setting matches up very nicely with both the ety ER4P's and modified im716's- the bass selection with these iem's just takes some of the sharpness out of the mids and trebles that can be heard when using these 'phones and this player. There is plenty of drive out of this unit, no real need for extra amplification, even though when an iBasso T3 is thrown into the mix it just takes the sq up a small notch. Overall, for 20 pounds, a fantastic little player for camping trips away out bush or to the beach. Battery life is also very good (no exact figures as yet, but easily over the 25 hour mark for one AAA cell). Top drawer kick around player with great SQ.

I know that it's been a long time since this thread started, but I've only just bought one of these MP3 players. Yes, it has incredible sound, but the only thing I can't find how to do is get it to play in album/track order instead of alphabetical track order. I'm so used to listening to all my albums in order so it is a bit annoying to have it playing one track from one album then another track from a different album all the time. I know it's probably a simple fix, so can anybody advise me pleeeze!!
