Beatles versus Pink Floyd.....which of these FIVE albums means more to you - Page 3

Pink Floyd.

Pink Floyd. I'd rather vote for music which were downright different and changed the way music was interpreted as rather than voting for a band which became popular from catchy tunes.

Pink Floyd, No competition. Their music is so extraudinary, while the Beatles remind me of any typical pop group. Simple lyrics, expressionless and boring, dull, BORING, cant describe it in any other meaninful way. Pink Floyd Shine on your crazy diamonds.. Its so powerful, so rich and full, deep complexity. Its thrilling to listen too..

I dont dislike the Beatles, but my preference is for Pink Floyd, I consider them musical geniouses.

I voted for the Beatles with the five album question because I think white album/abbey road by far ousted Floyd's Animals/the wall, but if it was just the first three I just might lean towards Pink Floyd...
I too think RS, Revolver & Sgt. P being the best Beatles albums, but my absolute favorite of all ten is Meddle

My favorite five are: Meddle, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper, DSOTM, Wish you were here so I voted for Pink Floyd (3/5)

Well, despite being the cat who thinks the Beatles are kinda overrated, I went with them…what a run of creativity. To me, Pink Floyd is grossly overrated, especially around here.

Well, the way you have them listed, The Beatles, hands down. I love Pink Floyd too, but The Wall is one of my least favorite Floyd albums. The five PF albums listed are actually not sequential - you left out "Obscured by Clouds", which came out in 1972, between "Meddle" and "DSotM". In that case, I would have voted for PF.

Haven't heard all of the albums so didn't vote. Although a choice between DSOTM and Abbey Road would be very hard for me.

Wow, really neck-and-neck here. Anyway, I said Pink Floyd, simply because the poll asked which run means more to me. However, the Beatles run is absolutely no. 2 out of all others I can think of.

EDIT: Duggeh's post has called this to my attention: I have never heard Revolver, but I don't know that it would be a game-changer enough to make me rethink my vote!

Pfff. I kind of hate the Beatles.

I just simply don't get Pink Floyd. I hate the Beatles, but at least there's an emotion toward them.
