I picked what I feel are considered the 5 best consecutive albums by each band..........

Which set means more to you. This poll (like all my polls) is merely just for fun and for a conversation starter.

Well, most people know how I voted. This will be an interesting poll to follow, because it probably best represents the two most prolific run of albums from any band ever. I will probably be shred to pieces for that last sentence

I don't even own all 5 of those Beatles albums. I do own all of the Pink Floyd albums. I'm not a huge Beatles fan.

Of the 5 Beatles albums you list, I only own Rubber Soul, Sgt Pepper, and The White Album. I've never even listened to Revolver or Abbey Road all the way through as complete albums.

The Beatles!
Additionally, the single record that exists in Pastmasters Vol.2.

I'll chime in for the Beatles.......

I think DSoTM can stand alongside any Beatles album, but I think all 5 Beatles albums are stronger than the other Floyd albums despite my complete love for WYWH.

Wish You Were Here over any Beatles album, but Beatles as a whole, by miles.

Atom heart mother is to me the best pink floyd album. I prefer them to the beatles though.

I think it would be much harder to choose between the first three of both groups. In my opinion, Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Pepper are the Beatles best work, while Meddle, DSOTM, and Wish You Were Here represent Pink Floyd's best. I voted for the Beatles with the five album question because I think white album/abbey road by far ousted Floyd's Animals/the wall, but if it was just the first three I just might lean towards Pink Floyd...

Nice call on a poll. I chose the Floyd group as I have listened to these albums more than the collective Beatles albums but Abbey Road and The White Album(s) are up there as well.

Of course The Beatles are iconic of an era in a way that I don't think Pink Floyd could ever be. However, my personal musical awareness and preferences were being molded as The Beatles were disintegrating, so I prefer Pink Floyd.

Beatles, as a whole, despite how strong DSoTM and WYWH are.
