ive seen a lot of people here on head-fi make their own tips?
like mold some triple flangs with olives, etc?

what do you guys think, should i make some?
i got some zune premium tips, 2 Ms, L, and S
and i have the denon, 1 M, 1 L, and 1 S

or should i just shell out some cash for olives or those triple flange ones?

It's fun to experiment. Sometimes an idea will come to you for a better way to isolate sound without compromising the HF. Some ideas look good on paper or in your mind but turn out to be less than satisfying in practice. It helps to improvise, to try different things. Never feel silly about wanting to try things out for yourself. That's how progress is made. Remember, your ears are unique, so what you do may just be what you need.

A good thing to make tips out of is dense foam. Like the stuff that comes with Furutech FP-703 plugs. That stuff is comfortable and also makes the sound slightly darker. Great for brighter IEM's.
