ADDIEM vs S4i?

I know the S4i has not been out that long, but with the assumption that they sound like the S4, was hoping someone could contrast them. Have an iPhone 3GS as you might guess by my interest in these IEMs. I mostly listen to classic rock, and think I care more about an accurate reproduction and a full sound, as opposed to heavy bass, although I'm an admitted audio noob. Thanks.

Bump. Anyone?

I would think the S4 would be better, because the Apple in ear is treated like a 30-40 dollar IEM here. That is why they get great reviews, because you can get them for cheap on Ebay.

well, i was looking for this same comparison and didn't find it, and right now i'm sitting in front of both, so i thought i'd write something up.

i've listened to lil wayne's carter 3, adele accoustic set, and elizabeth anka vajagic all ALAC straight from my 17" MBP.

at first i thought the ADDIEMS gave the s4i a run for their money and in one way they do, the highs. i was listening to adele's live set, and i realize that i can tell the live from the studio more in the ADDIEMS because of the echo of the high sounds, which i can't get from s4i. on the other hand, the s4i beats out on strong clear base, and beats out on bringing voices to the front. now, after listening to the s4i, the ADDIEMS voices sound a bit veiled.

fit and finish, the s4i's are really nice. the cable is super soft, the bottons are sturdy as well.

if they were the same price i'd definitely go with s4i, but since i paid 30 for ADDIEMS and 100 for s4i, it's hard to justify the extra 70 considering these are my "knock around" gym/motorcycle phones.

I've had experience with the S4i and I found it to be a pretty balanced IEM although a little more leaning towards the lower end. The bass is still very punchy and definitely not boomy, you probably wouldn't be disappointed.
