I do love them... but they're soooo big!
Didn't you read all the posts here making fun of how huge they were before hand?
Research!
You must always do research, this site is really good for that sort of thing.

Anyways, good luck on your Peace Corps assignment.

one of my first purchases in headphone-dom for me was a radioshack SPL meter and the audio-cd (literally its name). That way I won't go deaf or get tinnitus. search the archives for hearing protection.

And again, good luck in Tonga!

You know whats strange? After several weeks of owning the CD3000s... they suddenly look smaller... or normal sized at least. At least, that is, until you see yourself in a mirror

It'd be hard to tell who is uglier, a CD3000 man or an AKG K1000 man

Come to think of it, the CD3000's I sold utdeep were only in my house for a few months. Not very long! I think one thing that happened was hanging around this place got me focused on what was out there and what I would be happiest with. The CD3000's are a great headphone (never mind that this particular pair seems to bounce around from house to house like a lost drunk) but since I dont want half a dozen cans lying around I decided on something exotic instead. I like exotic. Does it feel weird to like a headphone a lot and then turn around and sell it anyway? Yes. But it also let me delve a little deeper into the headphone product underworld; a little richer and a little wiser. But I'll never again try to sell my Grado 325's.. those are like the John Deere riding mowers of headphones.

Good point! I did do the research and looked at pics... but when I got the box from M Rael, I couldn't figure out why he shipped headphones in a box the size of a microwave. Thankfully my exactoknife did not cut through the gorgeous case the CD3000s come in.... which encompassed the entire cardboard box!!
Personally, it seemed like the headphones on me looked bigger than the AKGs on kwkarth!!!!
I knew they were big, but not that big!!! Only one cup of the headphone would fit in my headroom headphone bag!!! It was insane!!! At most, I thought it would be twice the size of a V6... the CD3000 seems to be at least three-four times as big!!!

Jeez, is it just me, or is absolutely everyone selling their Cd3000 right now? What the heck is going on?

Aren't the V6 pretty small?
Getting an idea of the size of the CD3000 is pretty hard. Is a about twice the size of my HP890?

see pics of the HP890 in this thread, they're pretty big - I have large ears and these make my ears feel small (plenty of room)...

Mine aren't going anywhere. No way. I'm keeping them even if I do buy more headphones.

Regarding the size, I took lots of shots of them back in the more active HeadWize days. A few were in the head and showed the size very well.

Maybe someone kept them, or I might go find the CDR where I put the shots...

you're probably listening to the etys at a lower volume due to their isolation.

Ew, now that would be a pity. The case of the CD3000 is so nice that it should have its own protective case.
