I feel like a fool here, but after hearing such "news", I haven't been able to think anything else. Has anyone else heard about this?

I have a better chance of spontaneously turning into a woman...

What was your source? Seems pretty unlikely at this time and rate.

And lol @ roadtonowhere08's comment.

I could see a tour as Roger Waters, but not as Pink Floyd. A Roger Waters tour with new songs would be nice. In fact, just new music from Roger Waters would be nice.

I've just booked them to play a 50 seat small scale 45 minute set at a certain local venue. Wouldn't have been able to manage it without a friend of my dad, Dr Peter Grant being an old friend of David Gilmore.

I've been told I can raffle off 5 seats for the set to UK-only head-fiers.

I'm also a consumate liar.

Some gig calendar site shows a list of electronica names, but Pink Floyd among them. Didn't take that immediately seriously, but I googled for the possible tour for a bit and there were these undiscouraging bits of info that made me a shadow of a doubt. After Wright's death the reunions sound a bit silly indeed.

Not heard any rumors of a 2010 tour. But it certainly would be awesome if it turns out to be true!

Are you sure it's THE Pink Floyd?

That's certainly something to consider. The whole gig may be a hoax. I'll edit the topic in hope people won't get their rumors fueled.

It would be like The Beatles re-uniting. They might get an adequate replacement and would draw a crowd but it wouldn't be the same.

Pink Floyd is a mess. And it would be like the Beatles reuniting, in that several are dead.

The real Pink Floyd getting back together and touring is silly and I hope it doesn't actually happen. It wouldn't be the real Pink Floyd. It would be more like the Queen + Paul Rodgers return. It's sort of Queen, but not (Brian May is still awesome).

I get my live Pink Floyd fix by going to see The Australian Pink Floyd Show when they come around. A very authentic sounding Pink Floyd tribute band. An awesome sounding and well performed show. And they play locations that are smaller than the real Pink Floyd would ever fit in. That makes a more intimate show. Being able to play and fit in a real professional performing arts hall that has excellent acoustics is a much better auditory treat than listening to the real Pink Floyd in a huge stadium with reverberating acoustics.

Sounds delicious! I wish there were similar acts here.
