Cool!.. Very Cool!
Not sure about the art's color though.. If it had more texture or different color or two colors, it could have been "Perfect"!

What I thought. I sent the artwork in high res which has a lot of details and color is silver. Didn't know why it turns out light-blue LOL.
I have an impression that the artworks are not hand-made like the UE11s, but by machine or something.

I feel that it could have been better.

If you can wait till their laser engraver comes in (maybe it's already in), I'm sure all artworks will be perfect

Nah, Panerai does not sponsor any teams in F1.

Those are customize ear plugs, to mute those ear piercing high pitch that F1 car produce when they run.

By the way, do you know what it is that the F1 drivers use in their ears - it's certainly some kind of IEM ...

Nice. How the fit.

Mine's a bit lose on the left. Will need to send it back sometime but I'm going to enjoy them for awhile before shipping them back.

no, its the other way around. UE artwork uses a printer; so they could have taken your file and just printed directly onto the IEMs; JH use a laser to etch an outline on and then paint it by hand. I delayed getting artwork until they get their printer, as I wasnt happy with trhe idea of getting artwork I wasnt totally happy with on a set of very expensive IEMs. i'm a trained graphic designer and it would have pissed me off to no end. also the artwork on the right one appears to be coming off already; or is that the light or something

That's exactly what I received. I don't think the artwork is painted by hand, considering the color doesn't fill out evenly. It's not a big deal because I don't pay much to the artworks much. However, when I come back home next Xmas, I'm gonna find a professional artist to re-do and make it layered and embossed.

Fit is just perfect. They're very tight and I'm more than happy about that. They even made the eartubes a little bit longer than my impressions. It's a little hurt when pushing in but when it's in, it disappears

well thats what they told me, they said they couldnt do what I wanted, because it is done by hand and would be too difficult for adam to do. so i'm sending mine back when they get the printer. Well that WAS the plan, I dont know if I can bare being without them that long. I may try and find someone here to either paint it, or get my jeweler friend to make something to stick to it made from titanium. that idea appeals to me more really anyway.

I sent an email to Jaime about a redone artwork. Not sure about other artworks but I truly don't think mine were done by hands. I also found many flying girl artworks with the same scratches.

The Artwork is done by hand. I was there/involved with doing mine myself. Jeremy is right, and the process is as follows:

1. Your image is loading into computer software
2. Adam sizes it down to an approximate size that will fit most IEM face plates, then "prints" the image to a flat piece of acrylic to test depth, detail, etc.
3. Your actual earpieces are placed, angled appropriately, under the laser engraver, and the actual engraving is done.
4. The engraved image is hand painted/filled with acrylic paint. (My guess is that what you're seeing on that one monitor is where the paint is a little thin and/or there are brush marks)
5. The acrylic paint is dried, and then...
6. A thin layer of clear acrylic is laid on top of the artwork with a syringe
7. The whole thing is buffed clear.

As far as I know, JHA has no way to actually "print" on the earpieces, at least not yet.

Hope that's helpful information.

I can understand why Jeremy is waiting on his artwork. The current method is fine if you are looking for a relatively simple design. For things that are extremely complex with small areas of differing colors, I would wait.

Thanks for the info.

I just got a response from them that they will fix the artworks for me. That's fine. Now I have to send them back, not for refit, but for the misc stuffs. It's gonna be tiring waiting days again.
