Does the length of the USB cable make a difference in the quality of your rip? Currently I am using a cd drive which came with a 1 foot USB cable and i plugged the stock USB cable into a 10 foot extension USB cable. This won't diminish the quality whatsoever, correct?

Nope followed by another nope. Make sure you use a program that will give you error correction and accuracy verification (like EAC) and you are fine. Make sure you configure EAC correctly though.
