Is Sony NWZ X-1050 eu volume capped? - Page 2

I don't get it, I've capped the volume manually, now it won't go louder than 14 (out of 30), but 10 is more than enough for me. (and you can always go for eleven )
At night I don't even go over 6/7, are you guys trying to drive K340's? :S

10 is usually enough for me too. But some music is recorded more silently, then I have to go up to 11, 12 or sometimes even 13 to obtain the same volume. That's with UM3X; not the K340's!

I have my JH13's at about 19-24 :-/ but I do listen in rather noisy environments. At home typically 14. French players are capped, UK ones certainly aren't

In fact I'd say it's "ok" if I listen to it with the earbuds meaning that even in the metro there's no need to go over 30 (and NC works great), so I don't really suffer from the low volume.

But if I want to plug my player to speakers or a dock, now that's ridiculous.

Also, where could I address my complaint to Sony (France) regarding this issue ?
The old NWZ A series and the S series have the AVLS setting which is in the Common Settings and it allows you to reset or set a volume cap.

Are you saying that this feature is not in your French X 1060? Could it be that the French unit has the AVLS set to limit the volume and all you have to do is reset it?
