New Radiohead album? - Page 2

Yeah, I wouldn't put much stock into what Thom says in interviews. He's just never that forthright, or maybe he just changes his mind a lot.

Remember he said he was determined not to make a dark album before they made OK Computer.

Scroll down a bit, you'll see Thom in the studio.

I'm convinced it's coming out, I just don't know when.

Even if its just an EP, I'd still be happy for a few years. As long as they also go on tour.

^ Apparently not given the timing of their last (double) release and recent single 'Harry Patch (In Memory Of)'

i have just seen on the bbc news that radiohead dont plan on making any more albums 'cause it would kill them' (ie. meaning its too much of a slog for them now)

they say if anything, they will release individual tracks.

Ya, that probably was quoting the same article that the Pitchfork article quoted. I don't really mind them dying though, I'd just like another album. (Although touring dead probably wouldn't be as good as their normal shows.)

yeah I just read a few articles that said they won't be releasing a new LP-anytime soon at least..

They're going to focus more on EPs and singles that will probably only be released by their site.

I hope they will still tour. I have yet to see them live.

What do you think about the new song they released?

I like it. I know it's not really Radiohead, but I like it and wouldn't mind if they went in that direction for one of their EPs...

I was going to quote the pitchfork article as well. Don't expect anything new for a year or two, if ever.

I think this song has its own thread...
I'm not a fan of harry patch. I'm not against strings arrangements, it's just that the arrangement seems so incongruous with the song, and Yorke's voice seems so tinny in comparison, and semi-tuneless...I think it would be great if an EP went in the same direction as disc 2 of in rainbows. Or disc one, but then they might as well make a new album.

Youre right about Thoms voice. It sounds a bit off.
