Yup that's probably the case. I don't think either of these requires an amp to sound properly.

Are these headphones good for metal and rock ?

 

I am confused between these and HFI 780 , ATH m50 , Beyers dt770/80ohm 

 

 

 

Please help me out !!

 

I am an avid counter strike player and I listen to lots of metal and rock but I need a versatile phones' but more inclined to metal and rock genre.

I think you should check out the Grado 'phones. All I've ever read about them is that they're good for 'metal and rock'. Not sure how they fare with gaming though. Maybe some more experienced will chime in. Either way, read up on Grados...tons of threads about them if you do a search.
