I am not sure where this anti-china bias is coming from, i know some very high quality but relatively low cost products come from china, the ibasso d10 for example which is my favourite portable amp ever and its cheaper then the competition as well.

See, Covenant, I told you he was ignorant. More anti-China sentiment. We've already had one member banned for that stuff. Why not make it another.

I don't even wanna' get into it with this person and say what I want to say. I think my response would be in violation of the TOS.

Well, I am not saying that I will buy the audio gd but why dont people just have an open mind about stuff at least listen to it first before they form an opinion...

To me it sounded like he was making a joke, and that possibly a language barrier made it come out a tad.. humourless.

In any case, I don't agree with anti-China prejudice when it comes to gear. Or anti-anything prejudice, really. So long as its well built and sounds good, who's to care where it comes from?

Well thanks for the warning but I guess I am old enough to make up my own mind since the phoenix is quite new yet is is difficult to get more people sopinions especially since not many people (just like me) have not been able to compare it to anything else, so you have to rely on other peoples opinion. Right now beta 22 is first on my list though.

Anouk, one thing I have mentioned in the past is to buy a product from a local vendor. I have said so because occasionally some products (regardless of where they are made) will go bad and you have to ship the item back. The shipping and handling will be both costly and take time, plus you will have to consider the additional import duty.

So if you find an amp that you like and it can be purchased locally then you could avoid some future headaches. Good luck.
