Is Head-Fi Slow/bugged for anyone else lately? - Page 2

Doing the same for me. I did find if you hit the back button and then the forward button and then the link when it hangs it seems to get pass the place it was hanging up on.

Indeed!
I have found it to be quite unresponsive the last couple of weeks, since about the time the Head-F1 HF2 arrived at the first customers. Waiting 30-40 seconds for a thread to open, or timing out when posting a reply. When I go back trying once more it often ends up double-post, as the first one went through anyway...

Definitely not browser or network dependent. As I experience the exact same at home using Camino and a work using Firefox.

Again, we're well aware of the occasional slowness. It started when we made some system changes on 2009-07-29 0004 EDT, so that we could test some things. It should be fixed sometime today (the latest being sometime tomorrow).

If you've had problems for the last couple of weeks, I'm not sure what was causing them, as the changes we made (that I know are what is causing the problems most here are describing as having occurred over the last few days) were made on 2009-07-29 0004 EDT.

Thanks Jude, for letting us know that it is a known "issue".
I have experience more unresponsiveness the last days. So the July 29th changes you mention seems to match.
While the slowness/unresponsiveness I have experienced the weeks up front may have been related to me accessing the forum outside my regular hours (past midnight) or the fact that there have been more visitors/posts.

head-fi pages are eating up my CPU resource lately (this week?).
It' very slow.
Has anyone noticed that?
This happens with firefox on two of my computers. Didn't bother to try IE.

I've had issues posting earlier this week. You get the whole duplicate post thing.

Yeah, it seems quite unstable from time to time.
Click "Post Quick Reply" to post a reply and temporarily move over to a different thread. Then comes back a bit later to an error message saying "This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in xx seconds.". So I click "Submit Reply" to try again.
Just to be greeted with a double post.

The first post got through, but I still got this error message.

Yes that's part of the forum's anti flood measures. Also great for preventing double posts. Just ignore it next time krmathis xD
