Masterpiece: Hooverphonic "A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular"

I know "masterpiece" is a serious claim but I feel this is top 5 Trip-Hop album of all time.
Its been a fave of mine for 10+ years; just listened to it top to bottom for the first time in a long time.
This is as close to perfect as it gets in the genre.
Its so much more than traditional trip-hop too.

If you dont own yet, well...go get it.

I always liked 2nd album Blue Wonder Power Milk better......
listened to both again this morning, love the album cover also, very blue

Subsequent albums never captured the magic of those first two unfortunately

For me, BWPM was too poppy (albeit still quite good); I find NSSS to be much darker and more interesting.

i wouldnt give it masterpiece but it is the only album of theirs i like.

I liked A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular but I liked The Magnificent Tree more. Not crazy about Blue Wonder Power Milk although that is what introduced me to the band. I also like their most recent album The President of the LSD Golf Club.
