I can provide 2 sets of RCA interconnects that sound different. One set of cables with silver plated copper wire with Rhodium connectors and a set of copper wire with nickel connectors to see if they sound the same or different?

I almost forgot I can also provide 2 power cables with the same 14AWG copper wire but, one has gold plated Furutech ends and the other Rhodium Furutech ends. Anyone want to try them out?

Props to the OP, mike1127, for making a great summary of the two camps. Which, unfortunately, yet predictably, was followed by the very same behaviour you describe in your post The flak gets most intense when you're right over target.

Let me ask you a question.

Will you try this out?

Take two photographs of yourself. One taken when you were a child, and a current photograph of yourself.

Place these photographs in a plastic bag and place the bag with the photographs in it in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator.

See how this effects the sound of your audio system.

Also, see how it effects the sound of other audio systems you listen to.

And for the record, I am not just making this up. This "tweak" has been reported by others to significantly improve not only the sound of their systems, but every other system they listen to.

Let us know how it goes.

Instead of just claiming something, just wanted to share something. Exactly my point. The objectivist just want the way they see it? I have some good samples to show the subjective side of things. If not, why are the said cables not good samples? What samples are needed to satisfy the question?

I disagree. I think it's a rather poor summary.

For example:

As for subjectivists, why can't more of them be content with actually being subjectivists and refrain from crossing to the other side of the road and making objective claims?

That's what causes so much friction. Subjectivists who aren't content actually being subjectivists go beyond subjectivism and make objective claims. When those claims are legitimately questioned and/or challenged by objectivists, they get their panties in a bunch.

OK, If someone in the objectivist camp wants a sample of cables to test to see if there is a "difference" I am more than willing to ship them. Or I will schedule a mini meet just for this purpose and get a crowd involved of head-fiers?

Let me just say this.

A true subjectivist has nothing to prove to anyone. Nor does a true sbjectivist make objective claims or attempt to assert their subjective experiences as anything more than that.

Similarly, a true objectivist would have absolutely no reason to question or otherwise challenge a true subjectivist.

This is the rare exception rather than the norm. That may be a reflection of the vocal minority of objectivists, I don't know. In any case, the assertion that tends to be made by "objectivists" is that thorough tests have been done and no differences have been detected, therefore there are no audible differences.

If all the objectivists were saying was "it has yet to be proved that cables have been shown conclusively to produce audible differences" there would be no furore and this thread wouldn't exist, as there would be nothing to disagree with.

With cables, the ones I use on my rig are DIY. With trial and error I have found out a few things? I can tell the difference between copper and silver plated copper. Gold plated, Rhodium plated, Silver plated, Brass, and nickel connectors have their own sound signatures. I have witnesses to back up my findings. I surround myself with audiophiles and professionals. Have had many mini meets in my area to try out gear. The infamous Seattle Secret meet Super Secret Seattle Mini-Meet Exposed -- 1/5/08 and many more since. With Objectivist, never been invited to one their meets? Never seen an Objectivist meet posted anywhere? That may be a good idea?
