I have never heard of an earphone being 120 ohms. WTF? Is my iBasso D10 going to be able to power these properly?

I spoke to sales director, John Chen. He said they're not going to available until September at the earliest. He also said he was involved in its development and side by side comparisons with the competition. The SE530 came up, and he said the clarity of the gr8 exceeds the competiton. Granted he is a Grado employee, but the way he talking about them was making my mouth water. He's a good salesman, I'll tell you that. I think I might just bite the bullet and pre-order them. If any earphone is going to come close to the grado sound, this would have to be it. right?

I'm confused, were you making a joke? The sales director referred to them as the GR8 as well. And I believe it's one moving armature driver

Thats cool that you got to speak with someone on the inside. Im surprised grado hasnt given out some demo sets to be tested by people over here. September?!?!?!?! If im going to put off on buying my westones those Grados better be worth it.

I hear you. He said it's going through quality control, etc. At least September is not too far away. But yea, if the gr8 doesn't work out- straight for the westone 3. I'm very excited.

The reviews for the Westone 3 and um3x are mixed with both getting great reviews. It seems like it comes down to personal choice. Im interested in why you are choosing the westone 3, if people seem to say that they usually prefer the um3x. Especially when it comes to comfort

I expect an honest comparison to the SE530's and Westone 3's. Is a demo pair coming out sooner or is it just coming out with the rest of the shipment?
