A little more obviousness:

Kind of Blue: "So What"/"Flamenco Sketches"

Mingus Ah Um: "Better Git It In Your Soul"/"Jelly Roll"

Electric Light Orchestra-introduction to Twilight on the CD Time.
This one is a spoken-word masterpiece with the electronic voice. (In concert, it was done by a robot!)

I always liked the synth intros on Steve Miller songs also, though I don't think he has opened an album with one.

...and the Gods Made Love from the opening of Electric Ladyland is some pretty amazing psychedelia.

id like to say just for fun.....

The White Album which is my favorite album of all time is framed by two very mediocre songs....... Back In The USSR and Good Night.......very unusual that those two lack of quality songs made it to the placement on such an astonishing record.

Open: "Let's start" by Fela Kuti with Ginger Baker. A little intro from Fela and then they just get down it.

YouTube - Fela Kuti - Let's Start

Close: "E=mc2" Giorgio Moroder the man name checks all the production and players on the LP with a Vocoder at the end of this electro boogie tune.

YouTube - E=Mc2 GIORGIO

I chose separate tracks looks like the intention is for best opening and closing track on the same LP, oh well.
