No David Niven in the poll? (it's said the role of James Bond was written with him in mind..)

daniel craig, sean connery, pierce brosnan.

george lazenby wasn't really a bond, and roger moore was a joke, beyond awful.

Moore's acting wasn't THAT bad, it's just that the scripts he got were unbearably awful. No one - not Connery, not Craig, not anyone - could have salvaged those movies.

He's my choice.

Its a tough call. Sean Conner for downright british charm and royal pride OR Roger Moores british tongue-in-the-cheek boyish humor but still proud when needed... I HAVE to choose Roger Moore because thats the bond I remember first and grew up with, with Connery on close second.

Craig is the worst. C'mon, that guy is supposed to be a BRITISH agent!? Honestly, he not only looks like but also sounds like some kind of sergeant from some american vietnam war movie. This isnt a comment about his movies. While I disliked Casino Royale (too much prolonged and senseless violence which really didnt seem to progress anywhere), I liked Quantum Of Solace a LOT for its story progression (though action scenes sucked at the times, too chaotic). But as a James Bond, he sucks, totally wrong character in my eyes and ears. I think Ewan McGregor (who was one of the choices for new Bond) would have made a better Bond character, even a serious one what these new Bond movies are, than Craig.

James Bond is too violent now!

'James Bond is too violent now,' says former 007 Roger Moore.

I voted for Sir Sean Connery. I thought he was the best. He just fit the part in my mind. Favorite James Bond movie was Moon Raker. Jaws is also my favorite "mean" character. The teeth were AWESOME The dude was 7' 2"!! I also liked the guy that threw his hat?

Oddjob? He was excellent. Certainly more entertaining than a few of the more recent henchmen...

You didn't find The Baldy Man on the latest bond scary?

Brosnan is the actor I grew up watching so to me, he seemed a more 'authentic' bond than the other actors.

Not particularly. He was realistic, but something about Oddjob, just used to make me think that I was glad I'd never have to see him walking towards me in real life.

One thing that also makes Oddjob bit creepy is that he is clearly mentally retarded, he is also mute, doesnt care about his own life and does what he is ordered without a single thought. Jaws was a better henchman though, those teeth were awesome and his INCREDIBLE length and overall size is very intimidating. Plus he seems to be quite invincible. Or just unnaturally lucky I dont know, but it still seemed impossible to get rid of him.

*edit* 7,2 feet tall? Thats almost 2,20 meters! And he isnt lanky but he is very broad also. I feel so small...

Kidding, or what?

First of all we consider only the official 007 movies and not any spoofs.

Second, 'The Encyclopedia of British Film', 2003 does not even mention
any other actors besides those in the poll (less Daniel Craig of course).

Would you please come a little closer!

Sorry Administrators, Moderators and Head-fi'ers, but I got provoked and lost my cool again!

P.S.
Ha, ha, ha, .....

I grew up with Brosnan and I'm enjoying Craig, but no one beats Sir Sean Connery
