Picking out an amp for around $150.

Let me start out by saying that I'm completely new to amps and I have no clue what to look at.

That being said I'm look for an amp somewhere around $150, but I can go a little higher if needed. It would be running between a Creative Zen and a pair of Panasonic RP-HTX7's.

If you need anymore information let me know.

Do you ever listen to music from your laptop? If so, I would suggest the D2 Boa, but that is a little over your budget.

Yes I do listen to music on my laptop, but I'm a little confused how that relates.

It relates because you can improve the sound of your laptop and have a portable amp in one package if the portable amp includes a usb dac. The usb dac will most likely sound a lot better and cleaner than your on board sound card. Look at the amps here iBasso

You would need a mini to mini for your zen and a USB cable for your laptop

A USB and a mini-to-mini cables.

Just get ibassos mini to mini. The flat one. Its cheap and you get it included in the shipping.
