Will these make their way to B&M retailers? If so, do you know approximately when?

In the US, our headphones will be available at the following dealers:

Amazon
Apple
Best Buy
Crutchfield
Sound earphones
InMotion
Klipsch.com

Overseas distribution will of course vary from that, but I do not have the details. TNS Distribution and Amazon.uk will carry them for sure in the UK and Europe. London Drugs in Canada.

Amy / other S4i owners,

Is it safe to use the S4i plugged into a Macbook headphone out? And would the remote work to control the MacBook's volume and/or music playback? (For that matter, is it safe to plug the S4i into ANY non-iPod/iPhone product?)

I am wondering whether a different headphone jack might damage the circuitry in the remote.

Thanks!

It is safe.

As far as functionality, the Image S4i is designed to work seamlessly with the iPhone 3GS. It will work with the iPhone 3G and first generation iPhone, but with limited functionality. The S4i’s volume up and down feature will not work on these older models. I don't believe it will "talk" to the MacBook.

Because the S4i features an Apple chip, we cannot guarantee what level of functionality it will have with other cell phone brands.

Thanks Amy.

So, I just tried the S4i's on my 2009 Macbook Pro, and the ALL the remote features WORK! I can control the laptop volume and iTunes playback!

I invite others to confirm. This headset keeps getting better! Its like the Mac-fan's dream headset.
