I'm fully expecting to be underwhelmed at first and then I'll let it burn in and then enjoy...I look forward to comparing them to the RS-1 w/SAA Equinox but I'm not looking and rather hoping they are not the same...I am looking for a bit of a different presentation from the hf-2s...I have some time to wait for mine though. Thanks for your opinion though. I just find that this headphone's build is so unique. It stands alone but for the ps1000s...I'm sure I'll find it's sound quite unique but time will tell.

I was referring to "objective" in the sense that the OP's post wasn't flavored with emotional bias.

i got mine last week(#139). first time with grado. first cd, very flat sounding with headfive. second cd, better with yarland p100. i had a very busy week so i didn't have much time with it. one thing though, as i said, first time with a grado and i've read about the soundstage is very limited with grado, at least lower model grado but i didn't expect my triple fi has a better plus wider soundstage. i really wasn't expecting like that.

one more not so good thing, the finishing. i'll post some picture later.

not really sure how to talk about soundstage, my triple fi sound wider. the instrument is really like, right in front of you.

one more, the cable is really short

I assume you are talking about the Grado's.

I find it difficult to believe that an open ear dynamic has a smaller soundstage than an IEM. Granted they do say that Grado's put you in the recording when HD650's put you in the audience... But Triple.fi's are not HD650's

this is why i'm bringing this up. i think this thread is a "bad" or "negative" thread for hf2. anyone having the same experience?

Hmm... Grado traditionally has a compressed soundstage though so I don't expect the HF2 to be radically different.
