Hey lingling, if you want you can update the cover page so that it shows I got a fiio E5 and Cmoy amplifier.

Also please keep in mind I'll be bringing my girlfriend (so she can audition and pick a pair of cans for me to buy her).

By the way guys, I've talked to Ken at ALO who said he'll send out a new ALO Rx portable amp if they're done in time!

She won't like your A900's. She hates the ATH-AD700's due to thier feel and girth.

I on the otherhand, might... but keep in mind, I'm a cheapass. I'll do anything to save a buck... so no you can't sell them to me at a markup. :P

But if anybody has any cans to sell at a used price that are in good condition and the woman ends up liking them I'll gladly buy them from you for her. I really need to get her away from my bottom of the barrel ****ty 5.1 headset. She likes it, and the fact that they retail for 100$ makes her smile (sound wise they're okay, definitely better than some headphones I've used but barely touch my sony or audio technicas)

You guys, it's probably best to cap the entrants by now, I have a feeling it will be rather tight as it is. Sorry Omaha/Lincoln area folks, our list has been occupied.

What is the cap? The current list? Just curious. My brother was wondering if he could come for a couple of hours. If this requires me to hang out in a lobby for a bit, then that's cool. He's a head-fier.

My girlfriend has a 320GB external hard drive (it's pink so don't make fun of us), and we'll load it down with my music collection. I suppose I need to finish ripping all my CD's.

I'm looking forward to this more and more every day. The one part I'm not looking forward to is it has the potential of costing me hundreds. If I like nylans LD MKII, it'll be one of the first things I buy the month after (gotta pay a few bills first)... then I gotta buy the woman a pair of headphones that she likes... and with the stock we'll have there... good chance it won't be cheap.

Haha I'm thinking the same thing. However, at least the hundreds won't be wasted blindly purchasing some piece of gear you aren't familiar with and might not like. October 4th-Christmas is gonna be torture for me!

Yeah, I already know she kind of likes my MDR's, but hates the ATH's, she never listens loudly or at volume enough to really enjoy music in my humble opinion, so she'll most likely end up picking on appearance and comfort, but I'm hoping she puts an effort into find an audible difference.

She doesn't like the comfort of the ATHs? It must just be the looks.

I would think with looks the Denon's win out. They are pretty and look strong.

Um... the comfort of the ATH's? Ha... I can't stand the way they fell. Loosest headphones I've ever worn... and the oversized everyhing means I can't lay back when I'm gaming... so it causes pains and strains. :X

They're not comfortable but for 60$ it sounds great.

Im an ambient musician guys. Would it be OK guys if I ran a mic in the background to pick up hi-fi conversations? I think it would be a good layer for an instrumental track. I know it may feel invasive and I totally understand if you guys say no. I know Ling already didn't like my idea of using our real names.

Let me know what you guys think. This also brings up the question: Will anyone be videotaping or taking pictures of the meet and posting it? I think that would be cool.
