Navships or Mogami wire ?

Hi,

I want to recable my HFI-780 but I don't know which cable choose. Which of these cables offer the best audio quality (the best up-grade) ?

The Mogami Neglex Quad Mic Cable, if yes, the W2534 or the W2893 ?

Or Navships wire ? If you advise me the Navship, which one ? There are so many different wire ... (it must be flexible)

What are the differences between the two ? What are the positive and negative points of each one?

If you have other proposals not too expensive I am open ...
Thanks a lot and sorry for my English

It'll be hard to tell you about the navships, because he sells all kinds of left over wire he gets from people.

but for mogami, I'd get the thinner one because it feels more durable and I can't hear a difference.

Flexible? Mogami W2534 is your pick then! I love the stuff..<3
It's bigger than W2893, but I like it better since it more reliable.

wait, really?
the smaller one has the free space inside the outer tube of insulation fulled with string, so it can't move around and bend in weird ways, where the bigger one just has a piece of plastic.

Navships wire is ok. It's mediocre surplus but for the price, it's a good deal and sounds pretty decent. Scour eBay or the web and you can find better wire for a fair price however.

Canare, Durable and flexible if you don't strangle it with stiff "Tech-Flex" sheathe.

Canare Corp.: Star Quad Series: Star Quad Microphone cable(L-4E6S / L-4E5C)

It is the same Diameter as the Mogami, and availl. in colors as well.

You can simply change the Techflex stuffs with nylon sleeve. Much better.

Mogami 2534 is by far my favorite cable. More durable and easier to work with than 2893 which has ridiculously complicated construction.

I find navship wires incredibly stiff, comparable to solid core even though they are stranded

Ok, so which do you advise me between the Mogami and the Canare ?

Why don't you try buy both? Most places that distribute mogami cable also distribute canare, and its certainly cheap enough.

Yes, I think I will do that

I have not tried the W2893 but I have tried the W2534.
The W2534 is a bit thick imo for a headphone cable (6mm). If you don't care about your cable being bulky then by no means get the W2534 but if you do get the W2893.

I am wanting to recable headphones for the first time, and am trying to understand how to do it.

What does "change the Techflex stuffs with nylon sleeve" mean? What is Techflex stuffs? Are you suggesting some sort of nylon sleeve be used in place of a product called Techflex?

That's what I meant.

Nylon multifilament:

You can decide which is softer and more flexible, just by look

It looks like the top one is subject to fraying, but I have no idea from looking at these pics as to which one is softer or more flexible.
