It looks like there is nobody in Canada.
Anyone in the USA that could receive the parts for testing?

apologies hugo, please cancel my order of 1 set... thanks

Jeremy could always send them to me here in South Florida. I just thought there might be a more local destination; say New York. Gary

Please let me know asap if you will keep your order and how many sets you will need.
Thanks.

HE90 earpads are the same size as He Audio Jade earpads and fit perfectly onto the Jade.

Some Jade owners might be interested in these pads to replace the crappy stock Jade pads.

However, like the stock Jade earpads, they need to be glued onto the Jade housings. I just used sticky tack and some double-sided tape.

How sure are you of this because funny thing...I might need to make Jade pads soon so if these fit, they will work for both headphones and that would be awesome.

thanks

Yes, HE90 earpads fit on the Jade, but they need to be attached to the housing with some glue or other means.

The stock Jade pads are bad quality. The leather is stiff and has a chemical-type smell.

I would buy a set of aftermarket pads made specifically for the Jade.

Here's the Jade with HE90 pads installed.

Looks very nice Elephas.

But are the Jade stock pads really that bad?

If I really dont like them, I might consider upgrading to those HE90 pads when I get them or I'll let someone make them for me

great idea. the HE90 pads look so much better.

I always suspected that. Thanks for confirming. A lot of the most miserable tight wad know-it-all Canadian types are living right here in Grand Cayman. I wonder where the rest of them went? I guess it's just too dang cold up there for anyone to want to actually stay. Instead, they all come here and droll on and on ad nauseum about how terrible/stupid America/Americans is/are and how great/smart Canada/Canadians is/are. But the fact that none of them are actually still living in Canada confirms my suspicion that they're just the tooth in the BJ of life here in Cayman, sent by the airbus load to aggravate my soul and put a damper on my enjoyment of this otherwise peaceful, tropical paradise.

Cool. That is awesome that the pads fit. Do you know if these are the same pads as head-direct's new headphone?

hey Hugo, please add 1 set for me.

What's the finalized price?

Thank you. I'd estimate $130-140, but this is not official.
Let's wait for the final HeadRoom price. I think it won't take too long.

I would like to go in for pair #30 for my Jade! - Thanks!

@Elephas - I have been telling people my Jade pads smell like a sweaty horse saddle, but thankfully the smell has almost gone away after 10 months. I do agree they stock pads and stiff and not as comfortable as they should be. I just wish these pads weren't going to cost $120 a set. $70-$80 seems more reasonable for a $1500 Jade, but for an HE90 owner I guess you guys can afford $120 for pads.

EDIT - Ahhh, looks like that price includes a headband pad. I can't use that on the Jade, so it if the headband pad wont fit my HE60 does anyone here want to buy my headband pad and I keep the ear pads (assuming there was still 1 set left for me)?

Given the quality of Jmoney Audio's other earpads, I think the price is reasonable. Skip a restaurant meal or buy a less expensive bottle of Scotch and presto! you have an extra $40 and these pads cost $120 - $40 = $80.

I'm envious of the apparent cleanliness of those who only need one set of pads. What I'm wondering is why HugoFreire needs 4 sets of pads.

Besides being thicker than the HE90 pads, the stock Jade pads have harder leather and foam and don't compress at all. So with the HE90 pads installed on the Jade, the drivers sit closer to the ears. Some kind of spacer between the pads and the Jade housing might be a good idea.
