Yeah, but would be nice to be able to do it without the ubiquitous heatshrink though.

Ah well.

It would be cool if it is PEEK. I'll post here when I find out, one way or another.

I'm pretty sure it is. ODU makes medical connectors and PEEK is pretty commonly used for medical connectors because it's autoclavable.

I'm with you. It sure looks like it from the pics, the connector is very similar to their mini snap medical stuff, which uses PEEK for the reasons you mentioned.

In any event, it looks to be a nicely made connector, which is encouraging.

sure does look like PEEK, which certainly goes some ways towards explaining the higher price.

Looking at the connectors, I doubt they can take wires larger than 22g.
Hi lil knight,

Where/How did you get the HD800 connectors? A link should be great! =)

I was planning to just reterminate the stock cable. But If I can get the connectors it might be good to do a DIY. =)

Something to consider is wire with sprayed on insulation can still be 20-22AWG yet due to the thin coating will be physically smaller than one covered in teflon, so here's another viable option

Sprayed on insulation? You mean magnet wire?
