$3000 for a scooter... No thanks, I'll get off my fat ass and walk. I could use it.

I'll then take the $3000 I saved and put it towards a Headroom Blockhead.

Can 'IT' climb stair??
And how safe 'IT' can balance itself down the stair??
I saw a few video clips, but none of them show it can climb stair.

If it can't climb stair, it is a piece of over engineering junk. It is just a elec. wheelchair for non-handicap people.

If it CAN climb stair, wow, it maybe more fun than my dirt-bike.

I would love one. I'm a 2 minute bike ride from work, and this thing would be a lot of fun. Self balancing with gyros, damn thing is probably solid as a rock -- and imagine going up hill and standing at the same level pitch -- how cool is that?

I think that I really just have to try one out -- anyone know where this guy lives?

According to that Time article, this guy has his own little country off the East Coast, w/ its own currency and everything!

He lives about 15 miles from me, in Bedford, NH. He works in Manchester NH and I believe the Segway is manufactured there too.
