I don't really know where to post this question, so here it is. Which one is more power consuming? A normal HO or with a dock adaptor to a portable amp? I'm using an iPhone 3G if it's of any help. With HO I can control the volume, but not with a direct dock out. So does that mean a direct dock out will consume more power?
And by the way, with a direct line out from the dock, EQ settings will still work. So does that mean that it's not really a true line out?
