Dead Weather!

I defy anyone to tell me Grado RS-2's don't have enough bass. I am ROCKIN it out to the new Dead Weather album, "Horehound".

This is my configuration:

8GB Clip>Penguin Caffeine Pro>Grado RS-2's (button baby)

Dead Weather is the new band formed by Jack White (White Stripes, Raconteurs). The new band is made up of Alison Mosshart (of The Kills), Jack White (of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs), Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes)

No, the White Stripes didn't break up, neither did the Raconteurs. Jack is running all 3. Supposedly White Stripes is working on a new album.

Anyhow, I believe this new album will be one of the best albums of the year. A REAL heavy album. Murky dark and Alison Mosshart adds the sex appeal that the White Stripes had always been missing.

Go on youtube and watch the Conan episode where they perform. She is a real performer--HOT!

I like, I like!

On NPR Music, you can hear their entire show at the 9:30 Club in Wash. D.C. the other night as well as their new album Horehound in its entirety. They are good!

The buzz had me expecting a Black Heart Procession kind of thang. It turned out to be another good old fashioned rocker. The Raconteurs in a foul mood really. I love Mosshart's voice - and name, friggin' Mosshart, c'mon - so that was worth the price admission alone.

I had the CD in my hand today at the local music shop. I did not know who DW were and the picture of the bsnd, including Jack White, did not register in my brain. I was intrigued solely by name alone. I ended up not buying it but will now that I know who they are. DW are also on the Fallon show tonight.

Oh, and I ended up leaving said store with the new Grizzly Bear and Dandy Warhols CDs.

Hopefully this album will get the Kills the attention they deserve.

Also of note, Alison is a total babe.
